Editorial Guidelines

Welcome to swimmr.net, a unique space created by Louis and Stefan, dedicated to all things around swimming. As passionate swimmers, we aim to share knowledge, build a swimming community, and offer insights on a range of topics from poolside hairstyles to mastering deep pools.

This editorial policy outlines our methods of operation. If you believe that our work does not meet these standards, feel free to reach out to us.

Our Reporting

We aim to deliver stories from the swimming world as we perceive them, striving for utmost accuracy and avoiding AI usage. In cases where information isn’t widely known or could cast someone or an organization in a negative light, we always ask for their input. Should new details emerge post-publication, we promptly update our articles or publish new ones as needed. Upon being alerted to possible inaccuracies in our reporting, we investigate and, if necessary, issue a correction.

We provide a chance for anyone featured in our stories to respond. If you think you or your organization has been unfairly portrayed or wish to provide more details, please contact us.

Our Professional Engagements

Our journey as swimmers and creators shapes our content. We collaborate with other swimming enthusiasts, stylists, and experts, maintaining professional standards in all interactions. Our reporting remains unbiased, even in challenging situations like company blacklisting.

Advertising & Commercial Activities

Swimmr’s editorial and advertising departments operate independently. Our content on the Swimmr website and our social media channels (e.g. our Pinterest account) is determined by our passion for swimming and is not influenced by advertisers.

We screen advertisements for appropriateness and earn commissions from retailer links, maintaining editorial integrity. Our advertising team adheres to principles of fairness, honesty, and transparency in our dealings with advertisers.

We do not accept advertising that plays audio automatically or includes offensive content. Additionally, we do not allow inappropriate advertising content and will take action to remove it if it appears on the website. Contact us for any ad-related concerns.

Occasionally, we include links to retailers (e.g., Amazon) and may receive a commission from purchases made through these links. However, these links have no bearing on our editorial decisions. They only appear in articles related to the product in question and are presented in neutral language, such as: “View the latest price of [this product] from Amazon.”

NicheLink

Swimmr is a property of Blum and Steffes NicheLink GbR, which manages various brands and websites such as Reslisdence, Flawliz, and Getyourgift.

These entities function separately from Swimmr’s editorial team. Swimmr consistently reveals its connection when reporting on activities of its parent company, NicheLink. Editorial coverage of such activities is entirely at the editors’ discretion and remains unaffected by commercial interests.

All staff and partners at NicheLink are well-versed in this editorial policy and are committed to upholding it collectively.
